Certainly costs are a factor, and it is the very nature of the Open Source concept that has meant Linux has already won the race, sort of. There is an old saying which goes: “figures don’t lie, liars figure.” I have been a voracious reader of for many years. The amount of embedded Linux devices out there is frankly, staggering.In terms of sheer numbers, Open Source computers outnumber Macintosh and Windows computers, combined.
