LXer: Tell people you use Linux

Published at LXer:

What is the most obvious way to tell other people you use Linux. Talk to them! But what if there are too many people, and you can’t talk to [all of] them really… But still want to get the message "I am a Linux user" delivered? I was wearing my Fluxbox cap once, and someone asked me, "What's Fluxbox."

I said, "Do you want the long answer or the short one?"

"The short one, I guess."

"It's a window manager for X."

Then I took pity on her and gave her the long one ("It's a GUI for using with Linux computers.")

No one's ever asked me about my Slackware bumper sticker or my Debian polo shirt, though.
