I'm sorry to say that the passage is irrelevant to FLOSS, read it for yourself. Not only that, but it is confusing and Socrates is full of s***.

yes, true.

The passage is mostly about Socrates taking his usual crude and unintelligible swing or rant at Sophists, whom he disapproved of at the time. He says nothing of particular importance in this passage, and nothing really having to do with FLOSS.
