How do you know seagate did do something like that ? maybe the article is wrong?


btw, the article didn't open for me ...

but I really doubt that a HDD manufacturer will stop support for linux.

Infact does the brand of HDD really matter .. if I am using SATA , I am using SATA .... even if I create my own HDD it should still work, right ?

I have no idea....

A quick Google using "seagate linux" gives a bit more insight, but I had a hard time getting to the "kernel of truth"
