It is certainly a demonstration of how a good lawyer can squeeze every drop of juice out of a company, so that nothing but a dry and empty husk remains for whatever shareholders or creditors might be left.
SCO tried a preposterous "fraud on the market" at the behest of these lawyers, and I guess the officers feel they must press on to avoid going to jail.
I observe, of course, that lawyers on both sides are happily "milking a dead cow" with motion upon motion, brief upon brief. Call it "fees," call it "expenses," call it whatever you want to: I call it money. Lots of money for everyone, except the customers and stakeholders of the actual company, as long as the litigation never actually ends...
