Recently there has been a question about how to recover an admin user. Specifically, it was when you opened the application “System Configuration[he]gt[/he] User Accounts” and changed the type of account to “Standard”. since there have been changes in the recent versions of Ubuntu regarding the group “admin” and in addition there are other causes that can cause the elevation of privileges to perform administrative tasks.
