This article explains the various optimization techniques in power assembly so as to make applications run faster. Applying certain techniques in IBM® PowerPC® processor-specific applications improves the performance of the program. Some of the following techniques are now applied on Linux glibc string and memory functions and there is a significant amount of performance improvement.
