LXer: NSA spying will ultimately benefit us all

Published at LXer:

Most of us would agree that the NSA has spread its nets too far and cut deeply into our personal privacy. Ultimately, and perhaps ironically, I am hopeful this transgression will leave us with better protection for our personal communication than ever before.

Oh wow are you insane? What was Hitler's platform, we are all gonna die? You expect them to tell you the out come of all this beforehand? But you know they are not capable of that. No terrorist or murderer has ever killed as many people as government. You could argue religion but those religions were/are/will be governments.

Why do we need all this protection for our communications? Are terrorists tapping our networks? Listening to our phone calls? Maybe so.

I dare you to attempt to press charges against a cop, DA, judge or politician in your city/state/country. Do it for a real reason, you seem them speeding, running stoplights, You know what I mean. If these are the reasons for your charges it will be a $200 fine no big deal. Try it, I dare you. I have attempted to pressed charges against a lot of judges, DAs, and politicians none of my charges have ever been heard in a court. If you can not press charges against those that do you harm you are a slave. If their greatest offenses are traffic violations, congratulations your government is far greater then mine. On 3 separate occasions the US/TX government has attempted to kill me, by shooting me. 2 are on record and 1 resulted in the very TEMPORARY arrest of a cop. I am VERY white they can't use the excuse of race. How did I survive, I am very lucky and I am pretty good. Some how some way governments always become above the law. So they begin to think about how to do things with out concern for law. As a result they run rampant their crimes continue without question. What was the response to Snowden? Gee, what evidence do you have? No the response was we press charges on you. Submit and face our charges because we don't want to hear yours. Their response was a crime in and of itself. What did the Supreme Court do, nothing, why because no one made them aware of it? If they are incompetent they must be removed, its in the law. Is anyone unaware of Snowden's charges? I don't know if his charges are correct but by denying him the opportunity to speak we will never know. Until his charges are heard in a court, the US Government is a criminal. Now you are suggesting that putting known felons in charge of our security is a good thing? What about background checks? Is that why we are not allowed to press charges against them, so they can have squeaky clean backgrounds?

I understand you are afraid, so am I. This is a SERIOUS matter but hiding is not the solution, yet. If we hide we just allow it to continue. When their are armed guards on every street corner and they are going house to house to find those they deem to be criminals, then it will be time to hide. What made Snowden a criminal, he pressed charges? So if we know/think they are criminals then we are criminals? This is insanity.

If the government is so great and needs to "protect" us. Why are we not allowed to question the means and way they protect us? Are they not that great? But by using our fear they are allowed to continue. I am still here so they are obviously not that great at protecting you anyways.

So I read all your posts/links about how the NSA spying on us will "help the internet". I think you WANT to believe this, I don't think you should.

First I think you have a misunderstanding of encryption. There is no such thing as full proof encryption, all encryption can be cracked. As long as the government can crack/wardrive us its just a matter of time before they crack ANY encryption that you use or will use. What would do if you did catch them cracking you? Press charges and move to the Soviet Union, or whatever it is called now?

I believe the government is guilty because they refuse to allow Snowden's charges to be heard in a court. I believe this is an acknowledgement of guilt. If nothing else they are violating his right to press charges. I have heard judges say that a person in the USA doesn't have the right to press charges. But you have the right to defend yourself, this was given by a higher power then all the leaders in all the capitals put together will ever be. This is why they can pass laws denying the right to self defense but the smallest fish in the largest pond will still defend itself. Either by running or fighting. Whether that smallest fish in that largest pond is capable of successfully defending itself remains to be seen. But the fact remains irregardless of whether they allow it or not, that smallest fish is expected to do so, it is a basic part of life. This cannot be denied by them, they don't have the authority. I am not arguing for God, Jesus, Budda, atheists; This is a simple fact of life and it cannot be denied. So if they deny us the right to press charges then they are attempting to install a government of despotism and this would be another crime.

They are criminals and they are getting away with it, this helps no one. This isn't the first time they have done this either, that makes them repeat offenders. They will never stop until they are made to stop and held accountable for their actions. Why do we put murderers in jail, It won't bring the victim back. It is only to deter the next murderer or the same murderer from doing it again. You could argue that if someone killed his wife because they were going through a divorce, he would have no reason to kill again. So why put that person in jail? But you seem to think that the US and other governments are doing us some kind of favor, as if us being available to be a victim makes it Ok for them to do this. That is not a defense that can be lawfully used in court.

Are you sorry for what you have done?
Will you please stop making the government break laws?

You see now you are the criminal. This is a mindset they are trying to cause in you/me/us. This is psychological attack. This is terrorism, even by there new and updated definition. It doesn't matter what flag they fly or how fancy their buildings are. A government is nothing more than a gang. What they do with that will determine if they should be allowed to continue or not. Governments didn't make us free, people did. This government didn't exist until people did what was required so we could have this government. Those people fought and died so we could have this, I don't think the laws are bad, I think the people in power are. There is an incredibly old presidence of how people in charge that refuse to treat the people they "rule" decently are removed from power. This is what scares me and then I see all the people that think they are doing us a favor and allow them to continue and I think I know how far this will go before something is done and once it gets that far there will be only 1 way to remove/stop them. How far will it have to go before you see you/I/we are not the criminal here.
