For reason/reasons unknown, ex-Windows users leaving Windows and seeking a free alternative somehow do not seem to be flocking to ReactOS. Instead, the Windows users are coming to Linux in general, but we hear a lot of complaints from the ex-Windows users that Linux is difficult for them to get used to. They want a free system that is Windows-like, and here they have a free system which is Unix-like.
Well, that's because ReactOS is still alpha state and unsuitable for common use. This is because everyone wants a free Windows but no one wants to help contribute to making it. I would like to help but OS design and a thorough knowledge of assembly language is over my head.
I know that most office users don't know programming language, but software doesn't appear out of nothing. Someone has to write it, either for fun or for profit.
Considering that Microsoft has said that they would rather have someone steal their software than use something else, I guess I don't see what the problem is anymore.
ReactOS has released a new version. I think it's worth taking the time to look at it.
I had seen a movie from a creator of reactOS and was really impressed by their huge work.
