I think they need to hire someone new in the Ad-Writing department; that reads as though it was written in another language and translation to English was out-sourced to a third party.

Actually the ad was written in corporatese, an offshoot of English that is largely characterized by its unparalleled verbosity coupled to complete opacity and total lack of meaning. Fluent corporatese speakers are capable of speaking for hours at a stretch (frequently without pauses for breathing) while conveying absolutely nothing.

It should be noted that learning and speaking corporatese is not without its hazards. Experts suspect that extended use causes severe and irreversible brain damage, but this is only a theory as no brain activity has been found to study in the most fluent of speakers. Oxygen deprivation due to continuous speaking is suspected as a lead cause of the problems. Symptoms to watch out for include a rapid rise through corporate ranks and a pronounced tendency to schedule endless and unending meetings.

Interesting they cite Open Office as well as Linux.
Also i find the following quote a little disturbing:

Quote:
2. Be a Perception Change Agent. The CSI Lead needs to drive perception across a number of key audiences (IT Pros, Government Elites, BDMs, IT Journalists, etc.) Ability to implement programmatic marketing that will CHANGE THE WAY PEOPLE think about Microsoft, specifically those with a ‘hostile’ or negative perception of the Microsoft platform.

Is it just me or do they seem to do this every year? We're still here (and we're gaining) but so is Microsoft. Great way for Ballmer to waste money.
