Microsoft's Office Open XML (OOXML) document format specification is fatally flawed where it comes to spreadsheets, with many functions filled with careless errors, according to Rob Weir, a systems architect for IBM and a member of various ODF technical committees. Really no big news after I got yesterday "An unknown error occured while trying to read an unnamed file" when trying to install a 110% legal, paid, new, scratchless MS Office from a bright brand new CD on a just-installed brand new Windows XP SP2. Goddamn, why can't they do one thing right? |
