We're gonna see a LOT more of this garbage, and not just from Microsoft. It is becoming very clear that EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE) besides end users absolutely loathe netbooks. Hardware manufacturers loathe them because they use low-end hardware instead of the high end (and high margin) stuff. Builders like Dell hate them because they steal sales of higher-margin laptops. Software vendors loathe them because they use inexpensive software and operating systems. Retailers loathe them because they are so low-margin and if they run Linux, they can't even sell more software/services. So pretty much the entire supply chain would love to see netbooks vanish so they can go back to pushing the high-cost, high-margin crap that they are used to.
