CAINE which is an acronym for Computer Aided INvestigative Environment is not out with its 6.0 release. CAINE is built on top of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and used the MATE desktop envionment. CAINE is focussed on providing forensic investigation tools. Among the tools that CAINE provides is the Volatility Memory Forensics platform to examine system memory.
