Xfce is a great distro (even for a capable newbie)

and even a newbie can installe pkgs and configure this system easily using the community forum post on the Linux Mint web site. Great distro... Note: The only caution I would have for anyone deciding on using a rolling distro is that updating the kernel might be problematic for wireless users that have configured their wireless card manually. My Broadcomm wireless card 4312 Low-Power had to be configured manually and updating the distro will wipe out wireless function and require saving the driver 'wl.ko' and reconfiguring the default wireless configuration. No trouble... there is plenty of help available. ken |
