Any takers?

I knew today would be a special day when I woke up this morning.

A special day indeed!

But.... Am I the only one with mixed feelings about all of this?

I mean, Novell are in bed with Microsoft aren't they?

What does this decision really mean (besides the imminent insolvency/liquidation of SCO) ?

In business everybody is in bed with everybody else - to stick with the theme: it's an orgy.

Novell or IBM are going to buyout whatever profitable part of SCO to 'help out the customers' and Darl is going to get a nice kickback

That is really good news! I recon it is worth something stronger to celebrate then just chocolate

Just because Novell is somewhat controversial in having this MS deal, I don't think that should stop us celebrating what effectively is the end of SCO. This doesn't give us a perfect world in one stroke, but is the end of one obstacle. At the very least there will be no more threats to Linux from the Unix end of things.

I think a big thanks should also go to Groklaw and Pamela Jones for providing us with a great site! In fact I think that celebratory whiskey is best served in a Groklaw mug
