LXer: Java will be open source by Christmas

According to Infoworld, Sun President and CEO Jonathan Schwartz told the Oracle OpenWorld conference that it should be all ready by Christmas. The core platform will include the Standard Edition of Java and will be offered under an Open Source Initiative approved licence.
