LXer: How To Resize RAID Partitions (Shrink & Grow) (Software RAID)
Published at LXer:

This article describes how you can shrink and grow existing software RAID partitions. I have tested this with non-LVM RAID1 partitions that use ext3 as the file system. I will describe this procedure for an intact RAID array and also a degraded RAID array.

problem with resizing raid
I have follow your instruction and when i want to increas the raid it says "not enougth space. I have boot on raid 1, 100 mb, swap on raid 1 2 gb, system on raid 5, 10 gb and data is 995 gb on raid 5. i tryed to increase the boot size buy decreasing the data. I was able to reduce the data but when i try to increase the boot, it says "n ot enough space", i have 3 500 gb hard drives and i do not now if the probelm is that when checking under webmin the partition on local disks, it looks that the first raid 1 for boot is the primary partition and the other 3 raids are on the extended partition....Help will be appreciated
