I wouldn't use the term "install source files", because strictly speaking it isn't that. "Installing" usually means copying (compiled, "ready") files in their places in the filesystem, maybe making some configuration changes etc., but source files don't get "installed" in that sense right away - they need to be compiled first. Therefore I'd mention, in addition to installing, the compilation step to make it clear - how to compile and then install source files in Ubuntu. Just because many newcomers get it wrong, because they've never faced a source code project under Windows.
