LXer: How old is your oldest Linux install disk?

Published at LXer:

Letting go of old installation media can be hard. No, chances are you're never going to install an old distribution with a 2.2 series kernel ever again (or maybe you are, who knows?). But there's a certain nostalgia attached to the physical relics of your early days with computing, particularly if you managed to save your first Linux boot disk.read more

13 years old. Slackware 10.0, on 2 CDs given away with the September, 2004, issue of Linux Format magazine.

I'm looking at a 2 disk set, dated March 1995, of,

"linux. ready-to-run. SLACKWARE.
The Internet's favorite 32-bit multiuser operating system for Intel 386+. Includes Kernel 1.2."

I don't see a version number anywhere on the case or the CDs.

That will be 2.2, according to Wikipedia's Slackware page
