It is always a philosophical debate as to whether to use open source software in a regulated environment. Open source software is crowd sourced, and developers from all over the world contribute to packages that are later included in Operating System distributions.

WTF?

Looks like an advertisement for that PowerBroker product thinly disguised as an article. I'm not sure why they're even talking about sudo, it doesn't seem to have bearing on managing regulated systems to me.

linuxjournal has really gone down hill over the years, IMO.
