There are lots of libraries there and Microsoft Foundation Classes rule the roost. wxWidgets positions itself as an Open Source cross platform alternative to MFC and other propritery Application libraries out there. good reference. haven't gone through this part of the forum but here's Bruce Perens' Open Source Series. quite a few books are freely downloadable. i think i'll add it to LQ bookmarks.
