LXer: Beryl debuts a dazzling community-built 3-D desktop

As we reported in September, a group of developers forked SUSE's Compiz compositing window manager to create a community-based project called Beryl. The new project has quickly become a popular choice for supporting the 3-D desktop effects that make the Linux desktop sizzle these days.
