According to a report on Heise Online (currently German language only), the city of Berlin, capital of Germany, is very likely to switch to Linux as currently does Munich. 58.000 desktop PCs and and an unknown amount of servers could be affected

Lightbulb metro use

Just for giggles,
Does anyone have a reliable count of current metropolitan usage of Linux for daily affairs?
This is 'in general'.
My guess is that though MS has a lions share here in the US, that world-wide Linux is in use and well alive. I mean, I don't see a lot of viral threat warnings posted to European cities on security sites or in the general news HL's. Am I mistaken?
