LXer: Adobe Announces Plans To Abandon Flash On Linux

After Flash Player 11.2 they will no longer be providing updates for Linux users but just maintaining the 11.2 release. Well, that's the end of flash for me. Just in time as I've gotten rid of all other proprietary software.

I have some subscriptions with sites that stream flash video (movies/sports), so I guess that means I'll need to eventually migrate from Firefox to Chrome (if Firefox doesn't adopt the new API). I haven't seen any recent slackbuild scripts for chrome (only chromium, which I don't think has built in flash). In a perfect world these sites would switch to HTML5.
