One of the most important things for Linux users is the task management, because all operating systems have mistakes, and Linux isnít the exception yet. Sometimes, I have troubles with specific applications that collapse and the processes do not stop, itís very weird, but sometimes it happens. So I use Linux task manager, find the process and finally, I kill it.

LXer: 10 Best Linux Task Managers

ps -ef | grep -i "yoursearch"
kill -9 <process id>

does it for me.
