yum repo trouble

I wanted to give SuSe 10 a spin and installation went smooth (as I thought it would)

Since I want to use yum (and perhaps later apt) I followed the howto from Stanton Finley the site

Following what to do isn't hard but I run into problems from the GPG part. Importing the keys seems to go wrong:

Code:

error: /usr/share/doc/fedora-release-*/*GPG-KEY*: import read failed.
suse:/home/twinkers #

Hmm, well I thought I could just move on and see what would happen.

yum update gives me:

Code:

suse:/home/twinkers # yum update

Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

Deleting this repo and trying again gives me the same error for the other repo's. I can't imagine that the howto is wrong since the guy seems to know what he is doing.
Anyone has a clue what is wrong with this howto or where I'm screwing up?

Regards

Those repos are for Fedora Core and not Suse, so I suggest you look for Suse yum repos instead or use YAST.

haha, thanx for pointing this out. Guess I'm getting confused with trying to many distro's. Damn this goes into the hall of fame of stupidity!
Darn, breaking my head for two hours and not seeing the difference between SuSe and Fedora.....time for some sleep...sorry guys
