Yast S/W update and wpad.dat for proxy settings

I seem to be having a problem and I've exhausted what I know.

I want to have YaST configured to use a proxy.

(http://wpad:80/wpad.dat)

The configuration will give the following error:

Code:
* About to connect() to proxy wpad port 80 (#0)
*   Trying 192.135.82.20... connected
* Connected to wpad (192.135.82.20) port 80 (#0)
* Establish HTTP proxy tunnel to secure-www.novell.com:443
> CONNECT secure-www.novell.com:443 HTTP/1.0

> Host: secure-www.novell.com:443

> User-Agent: curl/7.16.4 (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.16.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e zlib/1.2.3 libidn/1.0

> Proxy-Connection: Keep-Alive

>

< HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed

< Date: Mon, 19 May 2008 19:51:21 GMT

< Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)

< Allow: GET, HEAD, OPTIONS, TRACE

< Connection: close

< Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

<

* Received HTTP code 405 from proxy after CONNECT
* Closing connection #0

curl: (56) Received HTTP code 405 from proxy after CONNECT
I have also added the script to my /etc/profile.local file.

I add this setting into Firefox in the autoconfiguration URL line and it works fine. I am assuming that the "autoconfiguration URL" is not being read by YaST, however I can't seem to find an article on how to apply this to YaST.

A curl code 56 indicates "Failure in receiving network data" and curl and wget both specify using the /etc/profile.local and/or .curlrc file with the proxies listed, which I've tried.

I guess my question is how do I get openSuSE 10.3 to use a proxy configuration script?

Additional info: SuSE 10.3 64Bit
