YaST freezes, scrambling filesystem
This is already the second time this happens. While installing/updating packages in SuSE 9.1 through YaST2, YaST freezes in the middle of the installation and there is nothing to do except turn off the computer. Of course, this messes up the filesystem and YaST's package database seriously. I need to run fsck at least once manually and rebuild YaST's rpm database using 'rpm --rebuilddb'.
Incidentally, the freeze happened while installing some Gnome packages both times. I guess the problem comes from YaST?! I have been a long-time KDE fan and was going to give Gnome a chance.
Has anyone else had this problem? It is really frustrating and a terrible waste of time.
