YaST Dependecies not going away

Okay first I tried to intall who knows what (I forgot:D )
So then I get around 30 dependency errors for example missing this, conflicts with this, and so on

Then, I click cancel to get rid of what I did, but everytime I Start up Software Management thru Yast I keep getting the same 30 dependency errors:cry:

I have tried restarting,I was going to try to removethe packages I tried to install but forgot which ones

How do I get rid of these?

Ipsofacto 03-30-2006 12:54 AM

Open up a console and as root:

rpm --rebuilddb

Doesn't work.. I still get all those dependecy errors:cry:

You need to enable refreshing of your software repos in the Installation Sources section.

A major breakdown of your system seems to have occurred. If software like /bin/more or /bin/mount is missing, the whole system is kind-off messed up. What installation source did you use? Does YaST system repair help? http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:YaST_System_Repair

SLP 04-06-2006 01:38 PM

YaST system repair did not work and the YOU installation source is USA:University of Soutern California(http)

abisko00 04-07-2006 02:26 AM

 A YOU source is for update only, not for installation of files.

You may need to run a complete re-installation. It seems to be to complicated to fix step-by-step.

That's Ok with me...I'll just do a system restore :)
