Yast = apt-get?

I am confused with these software.
Are they similar?
I know I can get the software use apt-get. Can I do similar things in Yast?

If you add sources to the "Source of Installtion" menu, then yes. Once you've filled in more sources, you can search for AMSN and it will find the package and install w/ dependancies.

For sources to add, see the sticky at the top of this forum.

AMSN means?

AMSN is a software package. Its a clone for MSN messenger. I was just using an example since SusE doesn't package AMSN in its distrobution, it would be something most users have to retrieve after installing SusE.
