oh that easy hehe? Actually I tried it from the terminal as root. with
rpm -i rh9.ymessenger-1.0.4-1.i386.rpm
Well it needed just one more package to be installed: gdk-pixbuf
I used Yast and installed it from the cd. After a retry the program is there. It works. ;o)
Why do they say it is a red hat file, when it is also useable for Suse?
Anyways, it is very disapointing though. The Lauchcast Radio feature is not available. Only for the WIndows version. ( Why?
I cannot start Lauchcast even from the Browser, since they do not support Mozilla/Netscape browsers but just the IE.
Damn it. I miss my customized Rock music. WHy do they do that to us...

after the install open a terminal and enter /usr/bin/ymessenger.after the initiall setup you can just click on the icon.
Yes thats what I did. It worked perfectly. I have the symbol (icon) in my start. However the feature I was acually looking for is not there. damn it.
BTW I installed Firefox, but it didn't create any Icons. I have to start Firefox everytime from the firefx.sh
Kind of annoying not having the icon on desktop. How do I make my life easier? ;o)

Hmm interesting idea. Maybe it could work. You mean the opensource mplayer classic from Sourceforge? Do you have a link for me? BTW where do I get DivX for Linux?
BTW just a thought...what if I use wine to emulate windows and install Yahho messenger for WIndows on my system? Could that work? Is it hard to use wine?

should be able to add firefox into the menu,if not right-click the kmenu button and use the menu editor.
utilities>desktop>menu updating tool
There is no "menu updating tool". There is Groupware wizard, Knotes, Kpager, Ksnapshot.
