xinerama a no-go

hi,

I just re-installed SuSE 9.2 and update to KDE 3.4.1. I cannot get SAX to bring up my second display in xinerama mode.

I can only get it to display two cloned images.

the log located on the login screen (Where is that really located?) displays this error (im guessing this has something to do with it):

mtrr: 0xd000000,0x8000000 overlabs existing 0xd000000, 0x8000000

The system is running a dual head ATI x300
system is a Dell :-( optiplex gx280

The xinerama worked on one log out, but refused to work any other time since then.

Any ideas?
