Xine and Sound Problems

Hello again guys,

I convinced one of my friends to give Linux a try. I walked him through the instalation, and gave him some tips and pointers. So far, he's really liking it.

He watches a lot of movies, so this is critical. The sound is really weird in Xine. You can hear it, but it randomly changes speeds and is all out of sink. Is there a package I can install that will fix this problem? Here are his system specs:

HP Pavilion Notebook, zd8000 series
Intel Pentium 4 (2.80 GHz)
330 MB of RAM
60 GB Hard Drive

I wish I could. He doesn't have internet access.

Then YOU help him as his friend and download the necessary packages from guru rpm site
