Wireless card problems with 10
Since the day I got SuSE 10 I've never gotten my wireless internet card to work. The problem is it won't install properly. I load the driver into ndiswrapper and it loads fine. However when I try to run the modprobe on ndiswrapper it hangs and won't do anything. The same thing happens when I try to run YaST. It hangs when trying to detect the card. The card runs perfectly in Windows. (I'm running it now.) The card is a Marvell IEEE802.11g Wireless card with a pci interface. So what's the problem? It's gettin really anoying because I've got things I need to do with linux that require internet and I can't get any.

I've had NO problems with ANY of these wireless cards in SUSE 10
1) Intel built in wireless (HP Dv series) -- works out of the box 2) Orinoco Gold Card (11 Mb) Lucent Pcmcia --works out of the box 3) Linksys wpc (using the ndiswrapper package on the dvd and Windows drivers - also worked no probs). There's loads of wireless cards that DO work now with SUSE so if you really have one that has serious problems I'd change it. Cheers -K |
So that's it? There's absolutely no one here that can help me? :/ Not what I was hoping for. Well I guess I'll try to get around it with windows.
