Will a Suse 9.1 re-install fix my wireless USB problem?

Hey all, I can't seem to get much response from anybody on my other thread except for Barrythai (thanks!) so I was wondering if a reinstall would fix the problem if the USB device is hooked up during installation.
It's a NETGEAR WG111t wireless USB coming off of a NETGEAR router, not sure the # on it as I'm at work.
Thanks!
RANDON

dumb question coming...... Did it work before?
Suse usally has great hardware detection, do you have another way in connecting to the internet ( Cat 5 connection? Then try to run updates thru Yast

No, it's the first time I've tried this, Suse was already installed. I CAN but the router/modem is in my brother's office so I was thinking of giving him the usb and me hardwired through CAT5 but I also have a TV in my room that I like to watch also but I don't know if I can have both of them hooked up at the same time?
thanks for the reply!

I am assuming that you are using a Cable internet service.
The being on and the Pc surfing shouldn't conflict. The reason I asked if you could connect another way to the net , and try to update you pc install with YAST is that my brother has a HP all in one that is connected by usb cable.
it would not work until he connected to the internet and downloaded a update from SUSE.
