Why is the SuSE 9.3 DVD iso is only 188MB?

I've Tried to download the new SuSE 9.3 DVD "EVAL" iso which I beleive should be the full free version of 9.3 but every mirror I try the ISO is only 188mb. Am I missing something? It should be about 4.5GB shouldn't it?

Thanks in advance

Steve

I think you need to try a different download method. Some server (or programs?) do not support the download of files >2GB. From Linux, it should work with rsync. You can also download the ISO split that is available on some servers. The 3 parts have to be fused together after download:

ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/ftp.sus.../9.3/iso/split

use gftp which I used copy the mirror address and put it in the remote site location then the password is anonymous.

The browers Firefox and Konqueror do not work for files over 2Gbyte.

On the other hand you can download the network download disk -with Firefox, etc- which is smaller and fits on a cd this can then download the whole operating system and it gets the latest version.

Yes, the amount of available software is different (double layer vs. single layer!). Many source packages are missing on the EVAL DVD. This however should not be a problem, since you can install most missing packages from FTP.
