Which Video player can I .avi.mpg.....?

I try all of them,I give few of them on Suse10.0 OSS.
It doesn`t recongnize on Kaffeine, totem movie player.......
Is there a movie player does recongnize any format?

Thx schneemann

its not a problem with your players. to play video formats you need a codec for that format. search around for a type of codec for whatever type of video your trying to watch. ie 'mpg video codec' etc

You need to install win32 codecs. They are available from the mplayer website or if you have configured the packman repo, you can install the package from yast.

You can use Kaffeine.

Add the packman repo, do a search for xine, install ilbxine1 (which will remove the current xine package installed), search for w32codecs, install it.

You should be good.

Yep, but many people seem to ignore the search funtion. The other day someone said I was rude to them when I mentioned that the answer was already available on the site if they searched.

I don`t ignore,I have used windows for long time and use very easy function.
But I have very hard time to understand how suse or any linux to install a software and to understand. That is my problem, when I use windows I don`t ask anybody what, why and so on.Linux is totally different, because you or I`m should know DoS,but I never use DoS.

I meant searching on this site and I wasn't referring to you specifically.

In a while, you will know how to compile and such...
If you want to play DIVX, or other .avi, you can allways download and install libdvdcss....

Allways a good feeling if things work!..:D
