Yup, just installed it via update here. So far, looks good. It modified my boot menu though, added two entries to /boot/grub/menu.lst, that was annoying.
The cds could be downloaded just fine, but the size of the DVD media is only 40 megs, which sounds a bit odd. DVD image size should be 3,4G so something is wrong i guess.
I did get all 3.4 meg's the first time....... so it can work. I have read others in the Novell forum with the same problem though. Keep trying and be sure you have Firefox > 1.5v.
The latest updates to your SUSE Linux Enterprise software are now available. By installing updates regularly, you will keep your operating system at peak performance, remove known security vulnerabilities and software defects, improve stability, and add the newest features and functionality.
To download, click the link to the patch article. In the article, click the download link corresponding to your version and log in to the Novell download site. You can then install the updates with YaST or your preferred installation tool. Please note: You must have a registered SUSE Linux Enterprise product with upgrade protection in order to access the patch downloads.
DVD and CD ISOs are available from Novell.com downloads page.
You will of course need a registered account to access them, but once registered this will get you a nearly current version of SLED 10SP1 without having to purchase.
BTW from my experience, it is a far less painful option to install freshly from the ISO than perform an update from within 10.0.
Running on a ThinkPad T43p, I encountered issues with ATI drivers update and GNOME performance, none of which arose with a fresh install.
The only issue I have with SP1, is that some of the volumes on my NetWare 6.5 servers seem to have forgotten that I am the SysAdmin.
