Suse Linux 9.0 I believe, it had the 2.4.21 kernal with the option to install a test version of 2.6. As for a download, I looked at linuxiso.org but didn't see it there and it's not on this site either.

In general, SuSE doesn't offer iso images. It's a commercial distro. But, you could use google to search for 'live cd' versions.

[offtopic] since 10.0 suse offers ISO images. there is also the community project opensuse. One can install Opensuse and than add suse yastsource or do it the other way. Everything is compatible between this two versions. [/offtopic]

and back to topic, i dont know, but i would install suse 10.0 with 2.6.13-15 kernel

abefroman:

SUSE started with ISO images with the introduction of the 2.6 kernel (SUSE 9.1). However, you can install 9.0 from FTP: download and burn i386/9.0/boot/boot.iso from any suse FTP mirror and boot from this CD, then run installation from FTP (there should be plenty of manuals out in the web).
