What happened to my Repositories?

I have suse10.0 and having trouble adding some of my favorite repositories.

While this trusty Gnome repository is still here:

the KDE one is gone:

instead i found a Readme that told me to go use these:

uh... whats that about?? Are people using these??
what happened to the trusty "directory.yast" file i used to see?
I also saw a "Community, Playground, and Qt" directories.
Is anyone using these too? Are they safe?
What do they do? Are they redundant?

i know im a little late, but can someone tell me whats going on?

Why in the WORLD is YAST so slow when i try to open the Install New Software menu??

the wait make YAST practically unusable....

I know. I'm using SuSE v10.1 and I have found that software package management is very confusing. It appears that SuSE has bundled a bunch of software package managers into the distribution and can't decide how they should work together. Now there is SMART and YUM and Zen in addition to YaST. You can look at the web site for some information but it isn't that informative.

What a mess!!!
