vsftp: Persmission Denied
 

Hola!

i am using Suse93.

it is sweeet. im trying to confugure ftp onthis box.
I am trying to use vsftp.

I am able to connect remotely,
and i can see me directories.
But when i try to Upload a File, i get an error:
550 Permission denied.

this happens when i try to upload to ANY location..... even after i explicitly set it to 777.

So i think i have uploads disabled within VSFTP.conf or something...

anyone have any insight on this?

In your vsftpd.conf file you must set the following parameter:

write_enable=YES (no spaces in between)

restart the inetd or winbind daemon and try again !
