Question Using parallel converter

Hi,

I connected a old HP Laser Jet 6P printer with my new machine with a USB-Parallel port converter. This 17-year-old printer on my old machine gave fuss than my 7-year-old printer. How can I get the drivers to connect across and get it to work in YaST?

Is your USB parallel port adapter recognized and is device ID /dev/usblp0 being created?

CUPS does not automatically detect printers connected to USB parallel port adapters and therefore YaST will not be able to automatically configure the printer. Have you tried to manually setup the printer?
