User Session Lock

I am running SUSE 9.3 Pro /w KDE Desktop. When I close the lid of my laptop after a period of time my system does a user lock. When I enter my password to unlock it takes 4-5 times to take effect. I have looked high and low for the lock/unlock settings and can't find them. Were do I go to stop the lock/unlock from happening

"Were do I go to stop the lock/unlock from happening"

Start kcontrol (Control Center). Click on Appearance and Themes. Click on screen saver. Turn off Require password to stop Screen Saver. Click on Apply.

Thanks for the help. I looked were you said and the box was not checked. As a matter of fact I have screensaver turned off. Any other ideas?
