update 9.1 to 9.2: SuseConfig on every Reboot

Hi

I´ve updated my Thinkpad R51 from Suse 9.1 to 9.2 via local FTP install. Everything went fine, and the System starts up. But: on each boot there seems to be the whole config stuff to be done again and again.

At first the hardware is analysed and then YAST tried to start PCMCIA and breaks in Line 506. After that the SuseConfig is performed....

All this takes a long time, and it seems to me that the system has the status of a kind of "firstboot" everytime i reboot.

For me it seems that the install process ws not finished correctly. But I have no Idea how to solve this.

Also I have no idea which kind of info can be relevant to post here, so that you can have a look on the "mess". So please give me tip, and I´ll provide the information you need...

At the moment I´m very frustrated... on this.

thanks
Robert

solved

Help yourself :-)

I´ve solved the problem: it was the PCMCIA package which where still installed.
Due I don´t need them, I´ve removed them from the system..

Now the machine boots like a turbo :-)
