I dont know if this is the right forum for this question, but it seems to be a distro specific problem...So here goes

I have 1 Optical Drive on my suse 9.3 system. It is a Plextor 716A, DVDRW/CDRW. I am trying to install UT2004. I put the disk in, then i run the linux-install.sh on the disc from the command line. The installer starts up and works fine until it begins to try to copy the files from the disc to the hd. It says "Please insert Unreal Tournament 2004 Install Disc"
Obviously it is not recognizing the disc, or referring to a non existent location. I don't understand how it doesn't recognize the disc though since i am running a program OFF OF the disc?
Is the script to install it broken?
BTW, i have installed UT2004 on an ubuntu system and a fc3 system with no problems.
Any ideas?

Hmm, I had this problem as well, with neverwinter nights. I thing the problem lies with the fact that suse may be mounting the cd/dvd with auto-mounting (it recognises when you insert a cd and presents a subdirectory in /media.
I don't know if you could solve the problem by creating a /mnt/cdrom directory and manually mounting the cdrom there. It might work. I don't remember if I had tried that, I had to manually install neverwinter without the installer. Maybe you could try adding an entry to /etc/fstab as well.
