Unable to login using root after changing root password using passwd command
When I am trying to change the root password, I get the following message. Even if I am entering the new password everytime, I still get this message on the terminal.
Changing password for root.
New Password:
Reenter New Password:
Password changed.
Password has been used already. Choose another.
Password changed.
This is what I see in /var/log/messages

After changing the password if I try to login using root, I am unable to login as root.
Please help me identify the cause of this & how to fix this issue ?
