turning off all the sounds - suse 10.3

hi everyone..
i know this might be a very stupid question but i really couldn't find it..

i am using suse10.3 with kde and i want to turn off the sound alerts..i just couldn't find where to..

thanks for help..

kcontrol -> sound & mutlimedia -> system notifications -> quick controls -> apply to all applications -> turn off -> sounds
