My uname -r is: 2.6.22.16-0.2-default
lspci shows: 17:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006EG 802.11 b/g Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
lspci -n 17:00.0 Class 0200: 168c:001c (rev 01)
I haven't been able to make this wireless card work at all. What do I need to do?
Thanks,
Ken

An Atheros chipset should work with Madwifi???
You did install the madwifi-kmp package not just madwifi, right?
Anyway, I use ndiswrapper for my BMCW43* on my laptop. I just use the package from the repositories there too without any issues. Seems like for a week or so recently though the kernel version and the ndiswrapper module weren't happy with each other.
Everything seems fine now.
