too many file endings connected to kaffeine!


i've had some video troubles and installed a lot of things to make kaffeine show almost every file format. a few seconds ago i found out that if i want to download a .rpm-file, kaffeine starts and tells me "no xine plugin"! there should be a download-window opening instead...!? how do i fix this? please explain for

The first thing I would try is to disconnect those fileendings from kaffeine, using the KDE Control Center -> KDE Components -> File Associations and re-connect them to the correct program (in my case, rpm is connected to KPackage and in embedding to KRPMView).

Maybe your browser has something similar (e.g. like 'helper applications') where you could do the same.

i found this option (thank you!!) and the only program connected is "x-rpm". so what might be the reason for kaffeine starting then??
