I'm running suse 11.1, gnome and have an nvidia card in.

It works fine, but the only problem is when I boot up the computer, I get a blank screen until the login screen shows up. And this is with onboard video set up as primary. That gets skipped over and it goes to the nvidia card with the dvi cable on it.

But if I set it up with the pci card as the primary video card. The system shows the opensuse menu to choose the os or the failsafe. Either option the screen freezes up when trying to load up. And this is using the dvi cable I might add. I've googled for various options/resolutions but really can't find anything. And I don't get any error messages either.
